Corrosion Management Audits

An overall picture of the condition of a client's assets and how they are performing against corrosion ingress is obtained through a Corrosion Management Audit (CMA). The corrosion management audit is a "snapshot in time" of the condition of operating plant assets, with identification of the severity and extent of corrosion.

The CMA is a measurement tool for maintenance and production management to assess the current condition of assets, which assets need to be attended to in what priority, within what time frame and include suggested refurbishment options and budgeted estimates for the identified repair options.

Extrin has developed its own Audit database, which summarizes and provides clients with a priority maintenance activity schedule to assist with maintenance budgeting.

A more limited specific coating, or cathodic protection system audit, can be performed, if required. A protective coating or cathodic protection system audit, ensures the client receives the best possible service life from the chosen means of corrosion prevention.
