Reinforced Concrete Corrosion Assessment

Extrin Consultants offer concrete condition assessments (CCA). All major concrete assets are reviewed and a scope developed for concrete coring (with identification of contaminant ingress such as chlorides, sulphates etc), potential mapping, drummy surveying and analytical testing, and include structural integrity investigations where required. Where concrete coring is indicated, practices are kept to a minimum and are undertaken to assess “worst case” locations noted during the visual inspection.

Coring enables the accurate determination of steel reinforcement dimensions, integrity, distribution and extent of corrosion degradation. Extrin Consultants provide their own in- house coring services and are able to deliver to its clients a CCA which documents areas of immediate concern, a schedule of repair and appropriate repair options.
